MAJULI Majuli, in Assam is the world’s largest inhabited river island. However, the effect of global climate change and monsoon rains has dramatically increased the floods in this part of Asia.
UNDERCURRENTS The vanishing altered landscapes and displaced lives, records the devastating impact of the Three Gorges Dam on China’s Yangtze River.
DECEITFUL REVERENCE Deceitful Reverence is a multi - layered story about loneliness and emigration. As an individual it is my personal look at the inner and outer world, which is constantly stirred and interacting with one another.
NIGHTS AND DAYS IN KINHASA Nights and days in Kinhasa is a series of photographs taken in the city that brings together the entire population of Kinhasa.
BORDERLAND Borderland is a project deeply rooted in my personal history. I spent a few years living a nomadic life in China, trying to escape from the sorrow of my mother’s sudden death.
FARMING ON THE FRONTLINE The 2014 War that Israel called “Operation Protective Edge” has left the majority of Gazan farmers living in the buffer zone with their houses demolished or their land bulldozed.
SLEEPWALKER ‘Sleepwalker’ is about the state of flux. It can be referred to the human mind, where there is a constant transition between reality and imagination.
LIVING IN THE MIST- THE LAST NOMADS OF NEPAL The tribe of Rautes, from the western mountains of Nepal, share an intimate attachment with the forest. But their culture seems to be threatened by rapid development around them.
AWAY FROM HOME 5 years ago I started documenting the inhabitants of Eminönü and Kucukpazar, the migrant populated areas in Istanbul. I have witnessed the challenging conditions they live in.
INTIMACIES My project on a Bengali family in Kolkata began in 1999 and spans a decade. It is more of an effort to explore relationships and intimacies that the members enjoy amongst them.
THE UNCANNY I started documenting the Democratic Republic of Congo during the elections in 2001. This project offers a vision of the country from within.
PARADISO These photographs were shot in Havana and in Mexico City between 2001 and 2002. They talk about that period, and about the urgency to work free of constraint.
NORTH-SOUTH These photographs were taken in 2008 as Luo Dan crisscrossed over half of China. However, the question is whether the Chinese values and lifestyles have a means of surviving globalization.
AUNTY Moving into that house with aunty, I was nervous. She talked to herself, hallucinated and walked around in the night. At the same time I was curious to know about her distinct personality.
CULTURE OF THE CONFRONTATION Ukrainian revolution brought new spirit, changed people and their minds; they became one organism that fought with a great passion and intensity for a happy future.
I HAVE A POOR MEMORY Life is in the little things for me. A strand of hair fluttering on the forehead, toes tapping to a musical rhythm, an inconsolable grief, an absolute love, this is all I remember. This is all I see.
HANG ON Neak Sophal asked men and women to pose for her in the street, hiding their faces behind the objects that characterize them. Each one loses his or her identity behind the object.

SEEKING MOKSHA Seeking Moksha, has evolved as a consequence of my journeys to the Gomukh Glacier, reflects my encounters there exploring hermits, pilgrims, spiritual seekers and tourists, all of whom are seek meaning in their lives, as do I.
PURE BY MAGIC In the winter of 2014, I took on a project that took me down to the depths of Bucharest’s underbelly. It does not suffice to say that the world within, the existence underground seemed to be a self-sustained one.
THE END Jharia was once a green forest. Coal was discovered here. But now, plunderers of coal move from site to site with blasting mines. It is a survival in an apocalyptic landscape.

DELHI 6 I worked in Old Delhi for a year as a sales person. On my very first day in Old Delhi or Delhi 6 as it is popularly known, I was charmed by it as it reminded me of Srinagar, the city where I was born. I have left that job, but have been photographing this part of Delhi ever since.
BUTTERFLIES To this day, I have extensively photographed the conditions of the mentally afflicted people. My long term goal is to create a project focusing on the inequalities present in its therapies.
HUMAN AND TIGER CONFLICT India has 55 tiger sanctuaries but very often the animals have to share space with humans. This poses a serious threat at both ends.
ARUNIKA Simon Wheatley’s daughter was born in 2011, in Dimapur. There he began photographing for the first time in India. ’Arunika’ is a reflection of concern at the world he has brought a daughter into.
TABOR After moving to Russia, I was feeling isolated and I was somehow drawn to ethnic minorities, especially the Roma people.
WET DOG Wet Dog is a series of dogs captured at the groomer during their least favourite activity: bath time, exposing the dogs at a vulnerable moment.
